Seven Years

{t:Seven Years}

{st:Lukas Graham}

[Em]      Once I was seven y[G]ears old, my momm[Cmaj7]a told me,

“Go make yourself some friends or you'll be l[D]onely”

      [Em]once I was Seven years o[G]ld    [Cmaj7]/ / / /    / / / /

[Em]   It was a big b[D]ig wo[G]rld, but we thought we were bigger.

[Cmaj7]   Pushing each other to the limits, we were le[D]arning quicker.

[Em]   By eleven sm[D]oking h[G]erb and drinking burning liquor

[Cmaj7]   Never rich, so we were out to make that st[D]eady figure

[Em]Once I was eleven years o[G]ld, my daddy told[Cmaj7] me,

“Go get yourself a wife or you'll be l[D]onely”.

      [Em]Once I was eleven years o[G]ld    [Cmaj7]/ / / /    / / / /

[Em]   I always have t[D]hat dr[G]eam like my Daddy before[Cmaj7] me

So I started writing songs, I started w[D]riting stories

[Em]   Something about that gl[D]ory,[G]   just always seemed to bore me,

[Cmaj7]   Cause only those I really love will ever r[D]eally know me

      [Em]Once I was twenty years o[G]ld,my story got [Cmaj7]told,

before the morning sun, when life was l[D]onely.

      [Em]Once I was twenty years o[G]ld    [Cmaj7]/ / / /    / / / /

   [Em]   I only see [D]my go[G]als,I don't believe in fa[Cmaj7]ilure.

Cause I know the smallest voices, they can m[D]ake it major,

[Em]   I got my boys w[D]ith [G]me at least those in [Cmaj7]favor

and if we don´t see before I leave, I hope to s[D]ee you later.

[Em]Once I was twenty years o[G]ld, my story got [Cmaj7]told

I was writing about everything, I saw bef[D]ore me

      [Em]Once I was twenty years o[G]ld    [Cmaj7]/ / / /    / / / /

[Em]Soon we´ll be thirty years o[G]ld, our songs have been [Cmaj7]sold

we've traveled around the world and we´re still ro[D]aming

      [Em]Soon we´ll be thirty years o[G]ld    [Cmaj7]/ / / /    / / / /

[Em]   I´m still learning ab[(D)]out l[G]ife, my woman brought children for[Cmaj7] me

so I can sing them all my songs and I can t[D]ell them stories

[Em]   Most of my boys are [(D)]with me, s[G]ome are still out seeking glory

[Cmaj7] And some I had to leave behind, my brother, I´m[D/H] still sorry

      S[C]oon I´ll be sixty ye[D]ars o[Em]ld, will I think the world is c[D]old

remember life, and then your [G/H ]life becomes a better one

    [C]  I made a man so happy w[D]hen I wrote a l[Em]etter once

[Hsus4] I hope my children come and [H]visit, once or twice a month

      S[C]oon I´ll be sixty ye[D]ars o[Em]ld, will I think the world is c[D]old

or will I have a lot of chil[G/H]dren who can warm me?

      So[C]on I´ll be sixty ye[D]ars [Em7]old     [Cmaj7]/ / / /    / / / /

[Em]Soon I´ll be sixty years o[G]ld, will I think the world is [Cmaj7]cold

or will I have a lot of children who can w[D]arm me?

      [Em]Soon I´ll be sixty years o[G]ld    [Cmaj7]/ / / /    / / / /

[Em]Once I was seven years o[G]ld, my momma told[Cmaj7] me,

“Go make yourself some friends or you'll be l[D]onely”

      [Em]once I was Seven years o[G]ld    [Cmaj7]/ / / /    / / / /
